I'm a guy, and saw that 2 people had messaged me. In order for me to be able to view and reply, I have to either match with them, or pay for premium. I spent 3 days looking through and matching with people, and never saw the ones that had matched and messaged me. I know, because when you decline someone who has matched you, it removes their notification. They want the premium $$, I'm not interested because I'm fairly sure that the matches are not generated in order to intice me to upgrade.
Another predatory company. The pointless notifications are obnoxious. They intentionally made the X on ads small so you would accidentally click the ad. When you delete your account, they lightly colored the "Proceed" button so you might just deactivate your account instead. And THEY DO NOT NOTIFY YOU before your free trial expires as promised. Now I've paid for something I didn't want. I'll check for a refund but this is just a toxic and scummy app.
It's a money grab. Who wants pay to win dating apps? you have to pay see who even likes your profile, unless you found and liked them in the random list of bots, inactive accounts and active accounts without knowing they're who liked your profile in the first place. Maybe at a dollar an unblur it might be more enticing, but 5-7 dollars per individual if you're not spending more on bulk? No thanks. I'd rather pay for strangers drinks at a bar for that price.
i have had ONE out of a countless number of likes get back to me if a profile isn't active for a certain amount of time, DONT SHOW THEM! the "unblur feature" is NOT optional unless you want the app to be useless as 99.9% of profiles that LIKE YOU FIRST are blurred, and you cannot view them until you spend the unblur. if I'm paying however much it is per month (it's not cheap), these things should be free and unlimited. oh and btw the daily unblurs don't stack and you only get TWO with premium.
Unfortunately like all other dating apps, this one is a money grab. I was hoping that, since Hily isn't owned by Match Group, things would be different. I was mistaken. I have a bunch of profiles that like me but I never see those profiles on my feed. I have to pay for unblur for each profile! The ads that trick you into engaging with them are scummy too.
